Trail ratings
Uwharrie National Forest's Badin Lake OHV Area is our primary place to ride.
- Many of the trails are accessible to stock (unmodified)
four-wheel drive vehicles.
- Individual trails vary in length from 1.4 miles to 3.4 miles,
but the OHV area connects trails into approximately 20 miles of
contiguous trails with minimal recrossing.
- Many trails provide obstacles requiring the use of a spotter or
trail guide .
- Some areas may be traversed in a different manner greatly
increasing or decreasing the technical difficulty of the obstacle.
- Many obstacles in the more difficult trails do not have
provisions for bypassing
- Trails at Uwharrie are excellent for
beginner-to-intermediate levels and provide fun and enjoyable 4x4
experiences
- Trail system closes for reconstitution between the months of
December and March
- Trail ratings range from 3-8 [on the 1-10 scale]
